Pippa Middleton’s wedding was fab
Pippa Middleton, the famous sister of Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge got married and it was epic. The wedding venue and lots of other details were kept a secret until the big day happened. Here’s what happened.
The husband
Pippa married James Matthews, brother of the reality TV star Spencer Matthews, famous for his antics on Made in Chelsea. James, a former racing car driver was 41 and is Chief Executive of a hedge fund management group. Matthews’ parents own several luxury hotels both here and abroad.
The venue
The couple got married on 20th May in St Mark’s Church in Englefield, Berkshire, just a short distance from the village of Bucklebury where the bride grew up. It is a modest church so the guest list for the ceremony was modest to accommodate the wedding party. The church is on a private estate owned by MP Richard Benyon. This helped keep the wedding discreet – http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/0/pippa-middletons-wedding-guest-list/.
The reception
The couple choose not to use a traditional wedding venue. Instead, they had a marquee reception at the Middleton’s family home. As the family house has large grounds of 12 acres at their disposal, this was sure to be a grand and lavish affair. The marquee was said to have been shipped in from Belgium and luxury portable toilets were in place for the guests.
The guests
The guest list was not revealed before the date but Kate’s children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte played a role at the ceremony. Kate returned the favour as bridesmaid for her sister. Parents of the couple happily joined the ceremony and looked fabulous.
